How Many Copies Can I Expect in Each Set?

Pick your carbonless forms’ paper set based on the number of copies you need. We print each “set” on smooth, writable 20 lb. paper.

• 2-part set (white/yellow) gives the original form plus 1 copy.

• 3-part set (white/yellow/pink) gives the original form plus 2 copies.

• 4-part set (white/yellow/pink/gold) offers the most number of copies: the original form plus 3 copies.

Are the Sets Glued Together?

We apply a layer of clear glue at the edge of the form to keep one set together. You can choose from 4 locations for your glued edge in each set: top, left, right, or bottom.

What Is the Advantage of Adding Sequential Numbering?

Sequential numbering helps you keep track of specific orders made within the day. The numbers can also help businesses keep track of transactions made in different locations.

Can I Combine Several Sets in One Order?

You can select our padding option to combine 25, 50, or 100 sets in one pad. Choose from 2 kinds of pads that protect all the combined sets:

• Padded With Cardboard Back uses a chipboard back to support all the combined sets.

• Padded With Wrap-Around Cover has a white cardstock cover that wraps around the front and in between sets. Placing the cover between sets allows for easier writing. It also prevents information from being copied onto the next form.

If you need the sets separate for manual input, select the Not Padded (Loose Sets) option on the calculator.

Q&A

How exactly do carbonless forms copy the information from one sheet to another?
Carbonless copy paper has micro-encapsulated ink on the backside of the top sheet. The front side of the bottom sheet is coated with clay. One applies pressure when writing on or typing mechanically on the top sheet. This pressure allows the ink to react with the clay, which copies the markings on the top sheet onto the bottom one.

NCR Types

NCR Sets

Our NCR sets consist of a top sheet and up to 4 copy sheets. They are bound together with glue on the top or left side and are easy to separate.


 

NCR Snap Sets

NCR snap sets are not glued - they are bound with a perforated strip. The individual sheets stay in place and are easily separated by removing the perforated stub. Optional hole punching at the top or left side is available for easy storage in a binder.

NCR Pads (glue binding)

NCR pads consist of 25 or 50 individual sets and are bound with glue at the top or on the left side. Especially for times when mulitple sets are needed, it is an advantage to have many sets in one place.

Carbonless forms are also known as no carbon required (NCR) forms. Without the use of carbon copy papers, they make duplicate copies of a handwritten or type document without the mess. Microcapsules of ink in each sheet transfer the original imprint.

On our online calculator, you can specify the number of sets and the set quantity per pad. Dividing the number of sets by the number of sets per pad gives you the total amount of pads. For example, if you choose 250 sets and 25 sets per pad, that will yield 10 pads. If you select 2500 sets and 50 sets per pad, you'll end up with 50 pads.
